About the project
The project's aim is to enhance the quality of the mathematics component of the future primary school and special school teachers’ professional training. It is to be achieved by the means of the innovation of all the subjects, technical, that means mathematical, as well as didactic ones.
The outputs of the project are presumed to contribute to the overall innovation of the educational content thus enriched with up-to-date findings within the field of pedagogy and other disciplines, above all the didactics of mathematics. The innovation is focused on modifying the educational content of particular subjects comprised in the curriculum of the 7503T047 (Primary school teacher training, in full-time as well as part-time study mode) and 7506T026 (Primary school teacher training and special pedagogy, in full-time study mode) study programmes in order to meet the demands of the pedagogy practice and of the labour market.
In total, 17 subjects from both study programmes will be innovated and 2 completely new subjects created.
Sub-objectives:
– to analyze the educational needs of the students of particular programmes in terms of their mathematical and didactic competencies
– with respect to the above mentioned analysis results, to draft a new concept of all the subjects within the mathematics component of the curriculum
– to compile electronic study materials for all subjects, and to create flash animations of the key words for technical subjects
- to provide teaching aids supposed to support full-time education
- to create an electronic databank of mathematics tasks aimed at practising and getting feedback
- to transform the final didactic tests, that means the instruments to verify the knowledge acquired by the students, from paper to electronic form
- to evaluate the innovated subjects
- to hold a conference focused on the current issues in primary education
- to organize a cycle of didactic seminars
